How to Use Challenges

Complete guide to using challenges in The FitCorp app. Participate in challenges and earn points.

Important Information

For a seamless user experience and accurate tracking, The FitCorp application supports both individual and group challenges. You can control your participation and all data is governed by our privacy policy. Once connected to challenges, the app tracks your progress automatically in the background. No manual entry needed for most challenge types.

Before You Start

Make sure you have the following ready:

  • The FitCorp app downloaded and installed
  • Connected to your tenant (organization)
  • Your profile set up and ready
  • Stable internet connection
  • Understanding of challenge types and completion rules

Who Can Participate in Challenges?

Any FitCorp user connected to a tenant can participate in challenges.

Understanding Challenge Types

Individual Challenges

  • You can join these yourself by clicking the "Join" button
  • Available in the Available tab
  • Complete when you reach the goal or the end date passes

Group Challenges

  • Admins add athletes to these challenges from the portal
  • You don't need to take action to join
  • Same completion rules as individual challenges

How Challenges Complete

Goal-Based Completion

  • If a challenge has a defined goal, it is completed once the goal is achieved
  • Example: Reach 10,000 steps
  • The challenge ends immediately when the target is reached

Example: A "10,000 Steps" challenge completes the moment you hit the step count target.

Activity-Based (Date-Based) Completion

  • If no goal, completed automatically when end date is reached
  • Example: A 30-day activity challenge
  • Participants compete based on most recorded activity
  • Final results calculated once challenge period ends

Example: A 30-day running challenge ends on the scheduled date, and the participant with the most activity wins.

Tracking Your Challenges

In Progress Tab

  • Shows all challenges you're currently participating in
  • Displays current status and progress toward goals
  • Helps you stay on track with active challenges

Available Tab

  • Shows all challenges you can join
  • Includes both active challenges and upcoming challenges
  • Allows you to explore challenge details and join when available

Complete Tab

  • Shows challenges you've completed
  • Displays final results and achievements
  • Allows you to review past performance

Expected result: You can see your challenges organized across the three tabs for easy tracking.

Ranking System

  • Top 2 or 3 performers in each challenge earn points
  • Rankings based on performance relative to other participants
  • Points help you track progress and achievements over time
  • Check rankings regularly to see how you stack up

Expected result: You can see your ranking and points compared to other participants.

Leaving Challenges

If you want to leave an individual challenge:

  1. 1Open the In Progress tab
  2. 2Select the challenge you want to leave
  3. 3Open the challenge details
  4. 4Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner
  5. 5Select Leave Challenge and confirm

Important: Group challenges cannot be left by users. If you need to be removed from a group challenge, please contact your tenant administrator.

Troubleshooting

I can't see any challenges to join

  • Make sure you have connected to a tenant
  • Check that your device is running the latest version
  • Restart The FitCorp app and try again
  • Verify your tenant admin has created challenges

Challenges are not showing in the correct tabs

  • Check that you're looking at the right tab (Available, In Progress, or Complete)
  • Ensure you have the correct challenge type visibility
  • Verify that your tenant has active challenges
  • Try refreshing the app to load latest data
